Globaltoday.id, Lumajang, Indonesia — A traffic accident involving two trucks and one motorcycle occurred on Tuesday morning, April 28, 2026, at around 06:10 WIB. The incident took place on a public road in Banyuputih Lor Village, Randuagung District, Lumajang Regency.
According to initial reports, the crash involved a Mitsubishi truck (P-9645-UE), a Hino box truck (W-9274-PB), and a Honda Vario motorcycle (P-5251-NC).
The accident began when the Mitsubishi truck, traveling from east to west, suddenly lost control and swerved to the right. At the same time, a Hino box truck was coming from the opposite direction (west to east), leading to a head-on collision. Moments later, a motorcycle traveling behind the Mitsubishi truck hit the rear of the truck, causing a second impact.
Four people were reported injured in the accident. The driver of the Mitsubishi truck, Ahmad Faruk (38), suffered a head injury and was taken to Dr. Haryoto Hospital in Lumajang. His passenger, Farhan Ega Pratama (17), sustained an injury to his left leg and was treated at Jatiroto Hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Hino truck, Jumadi (53), experienced a leg injury but refused hospital treatment. The motorcyclist, Ahmad Supriyadi (33), suffered minor injuries to his hands and legs and also declined further medical care.
Police confirmed that no fatalities were reported. The total material loss from the accident is estimated at around Rp 5 million.
Initial analysis suggests that the accident was caused by the lack of caution from the Mitsubishi truck driver, who failed to maintain proper control and awareness of traffic conditions.
A witness, Rosidi (53), a local resident, stated that the collision happened suddenly and involved multiple impacts within a short time.
Police officers from the Lumajang Traffic Unit responded quickly to the scene. They conducted a site investigation, secured evidence, and collected witness statements. A medical examination (VER) was also requested from Dr. Haryoto Hospital.
Head of Law Enforcement Unit (Kanit Gakkum) of Lumajang Traffic Police, Ipda Dandy, stated that further investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the accident.
Authorities urge all drivers to remain careful and alert while driving to prevent similar incidents in the future.
