Globaltoday id, Lumajang – A vibrant celebration of World Dance Day at Pantai Watu Pecak was successfully held under tight security by officers from Polsek Pasirian on Saturday (May 2, 2026).
The event brought together participants and visitors from various regions, showcasing a lively mix of traditional and modern dance performances against the scenic backdrop of the southern coastline. The festival created an energetic atmosphere, attracting both local residents and tourists.

“We ensured that the World Dance Day celebration could take place safely, orderly, and without disruption,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of vigilance, especially in 0coastal areas known for high waves.
“Our officers continuously advised visitors not to swim or play too close to the sea, as the waves can be quite dangerous,” he added.
Police personnel were seen patrolling the beach, particularly reminding children and teenagers to be cautious while enjoying the seaside.

According to authorities, visitor safety remained the top priority throughout the event. The police also appreciated the cooperation of both organizers and attendees in maintaining a safe environment.
“The event went well, safely and in good order. Visitors were cooperative and followed the guidance from our officers,” Loni concluded.
