Globaltoday.id, Lumajang — The Deputy Commander of District Military Command (Kasdim) 0821/Lumajang, Major Inf Tanuri, led the handover of 47 operational vehicles to the Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives to strengthen the village-based economy, Wednesday (April 29, 2026).
The event took place at the yard of Makodim 0821/Lumajang and was attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Lumajang Regency, village heads, and cooperative leaders.
This handover reflects strong cooperation between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the local government, and the community in supporting rural economic development. A total of 47 vehicles were distributed, consisting of 20 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter trucks and 27 three-wheeled Kaisar vehicles.
Major Tanuri explained that the assistance is expected to improve the mobility of cooperatives, especially in distributing products, logistics, and supporting business development.
“This support is not only physical assistance, but also a stimulus to encourage village cooperatives to grow and become more independent,” he said.
He added that better mobility will directly impact smoother distribution and improve community welfare.
Meanwhile, village heads and cooperative leaders welcomed the assistance positively. They believe the vehicles will be very useful for supporting cooperative activities, particularly in transporting agricultural products and distributing basic needs in their respective areas.
