May Day 2026 in Lumajang Turns into Moment of Unity Between Workers and Entrepreneurs

Globaltoday.id, Lumajang – The celebration of International Workers’ Day 2026 in Lumajang took a warm and collaborative tone as workers, business owners, and government officials gathered in a friendly event held at the pine forest area of Sumberwuluh Village, Candipuro District, on Friday (May 1, 2026).

The event was attended by Lumajang Police Chief Alex Sandy Siregar, along with regional leaders, representatives from the local parliament, the manpower office, military officials, entrepreneurs, and hundreds of workers from various companies across Lumajang.

Carrying the theme “Collaboration for Industrial Growth and Workers’ Welfare,” the gathering created a relaxed and family-like atmosphere. More than just a celebration, the event served as a platform to strengthen relationships and build mutual understanding among all stakeholders in the labor sector.

According to Police Public Relations officer Suprapto, this year’s May Day was intentionally designed with positive and constructive activities to encourage unity and cooperation.

“This moment is important to improve communication and collaboration between workers, employers, and the government, so that a healthy and harmonious industrial environment can be maintained in Lumajang,” he explained.

He also emphasized that maintaining public security and order remains a priority, as it directly supports industrial activities and the well-being of workers.

“With strong synergy and open communication, we hope businesses can continue to grow while workers gain better welfare,” he added.

The gathering featured informal discussions, entertainment, and social interactions, allowing participants to connect in a more relaxed setting. The event highlighted a shared commitment to building a balanced relationship between economic growth and workers’ rights in Lumajang.

This year’s May Day celebration reflected a shift toward collaboration rather than confrontation, showing that dialogue and partnership can play a key role in creating a more sustainable and inclusive labor ecosystem.
